An alternative two-system model:

     A fast reflexive system responds to all targets
          - BUT can only see certain stimuli
          - response can be modulated by attention
          - may exhibit oscillation or ringing

     A slower voluntary system for attended targets
          - can be driven by any perceived object

PREDICTION: no response to unattended isoluminant stimuli
